Protocols

 We are so excited to be able to train with you again for the 2020-2021 season.

Below we will explain all the protocols we need to enforce to allow any classes to run at our studio. We have deep cleaned and sanitized the entire studio. We have also removed everything off the walls and removed anything that could possibly collect dust. A2Y staff will clean and sanitize before and after anyone enters our studio. We want you all to feel safe and secure when entering and we appreciate your support through everything.

We ask that no parent/guardian enter the studio. Only our dancers and teachers may enter to avoid multiple cross over.

The lobby and change rooms will be closed.

We have three separate entrances to allow for class staggering as well as social distancing between dancers among entering.

In studio A (Aly’s studio) there is a door that lets you straight into the room. This door is on the right side of our building (northern entrance).  When you enter, we will do temperature checks. You will sanitize your hands at the station provided. You will bring all bags, shoes, coats etc in with you. Please make sure you just bring what is needed. There will be no allowance for changing outfits throughout the night for any competitive student or recreational student that takes multiple classes.

In studio Y (Yossi’s room) there is a door on the right side of the building that leads in to a hallway. You will use that door to enter, walk down the hallway and go into Yossi’s studio. When you enter, we will do temperature checks. You will sanitize your hands at the station provided. You will bring all bags, shoes, coats etc in with you. Please make sure you just bring what is needed. There will be no allowance for changing outfits throughout the night for any competitive student or recreational student that takes multiple classes.

For Studio 2 (Ballet studio) you will enter through the main entrance. When you enter, we will do temperature checks. You will sanitize your hands at the station provided. You will bring all bags, shoes, coats etc in with you. Please make sure you just bring what is needed. There will be no allowance for changing outfits throughout the night for any competitive student or recreational student that takes multiple classes.

We will be recording everyone’s temperature every day to ensure safety.

Once you enter your studio you will not be permitted to leave unless our dancers need to use the washroom. The adult, staff and parent washrooms will now be the allowed for use. The dancers in studio A will only be allowed to use the first washroom. The dancers in studio Y will only be allowed to use the second washroom. The dancers in studio 2 will be allowed to use the first bathroom in the girls change room. The washroom will be sanitized after every use. If a dancer leaves to use the washroom they will need to sanitize their hands prior to re-entering the studio.

 Nothing will be allowed in or out of the studio other than our staff or anyone needing to use the washroom.

We have limited how many students will have in all recreational classes for everyone’s safety. Even though we could accommodate more we want everyone to know that health is our top priority.

Each studio has been marked with boxes. Each box is six feet apart and gives the dancers an understanding of personal space. Due to the limits of kids we created we can make sure everyone is abiding by the social distancing rules.

The dancers are not required to wear masks. We will require our staff to. If any parent/guardian feels that their child should be wearing a mask we ask that you provide your own. We also take no responsibility should a something happen to a dancer while exercising with a mask on. That is a personal risk that each dancer needs to be aware of.

We have wipes in each studio and the barres and mats will be sanitized after every use.

If you are providing snacks and or drinks the dancers must bring the food into the studio with them (our refrigerators are off limits to keep food cold). We still are selling water and Gatorade. If a dancer would like one, they must ask the teacher and their teacher will collect the money and get them their drink. No food or drinks will be stored for any reason.

Once our dancers are finished, they will collect their belongings and line up (socially distant) to be dismissed. We will ask them to sanitize before they leave and we will dismiss them one at a time once we see your vehicle. Please make sure you pick up by the entrance for which studio they are using. Reminder: the times are final. We ask that you arrive promptly to ensure smooth transitions in and out of the studio. This also allows us to maximize the time needed to clean. We will not be able to accommodate watching any children with parents that are late for pick up.

If any dancer is not feeling well (runny nose, coughing, sneezing, fever (other than standard allergies)) we ask you do not bring them to the studio.

Although it is a little different than what we are used to we can’t wait to start training everyone again!!!
